यस विभागका प्रा. डा. दयाराम भुसालको सहकार्य तथा सहलेखनमा nature जस्तो विश्व प्रसिद्ध जर्नलमा छापिएको यो अनुसन्धानको उपलब्धी नेपाली सन्दर्भमा महत्वपूर्ण हुनसक्छ । प्रकृतिमा परागसेचन, मानव पोषण र कृषि उत्पादनको अन्तरसम्बन्ध कसरी चलिरहेको हुन्छ भन्ने कुरा यो अनुसन्धानको मुख्य वैज्ञानिक सन्देश हो । वर्तमान जलवायु परिवर्तन र खाद्य सुरक्षाको सन्दर्भमा यो अनुसन्धान अझ महत्वपूर्ण छ । यो अनुसन्धान कार्य धेरै अन्तरराष्ट्रिय वैज्ञानिकहरुसँग सहकार्यमा पुरा गरिएको हो । यसको नमुना संकलन कर्णाली प्रदेश र विशेषतः जुम्ला जिल्लालाई आधार बनाएर गरिएको थियो । प्रयोगशालाका महत्वपूर्ण कार्यहरु यस प्राणीशास्त्र केन्द्रीय विभागमा भएको थियो । यस्तो अनुसन्धान कार्य अन्य विद्यार्थीहरुको लागि पनि प्रेरणादायी हुन सक्छ ।

The findings of this research published in a world-renowned Journal nature in collaboration and co-authored by Prof. Dr. Daya Ram Bhusal can be significant in the Nepali context. The main scientific message of this research is how the interaction among pollination, human nutrition and agricultural production plays out in nature. This research is even more important in the context of current climate change and food security because how food security is regulated from the pollination system and its related ecosystem service. This research work has been completed in collaboration with many international scientists. The sample was collected on the basis of Karnali province and especially Jumla district. The important work of the laboratory took place in the Central Department of Zoology. Such research work can be inspiring to other students as well.
